Three

Ancient

Muses

The Roman scholar Varro relates that there are only three muses:

One who is born from the movement of water,

another who makes sound

by striking the air,

and a third who is embodied only in

the human voice.

      They were Melete (Practice),
Mneme (Memory),
and Aoide (Song).

FOR PARENTS

* Family-hosted

     performance groups

  • To be a host, please text me with your interest.

  • Host families will receive a certificate for a bonus lesson. This lesson will be an extra lesson during a mutually agreeable time.

* Supporting Student Practice

  • Read your child's notebook to them before they practice as a reminder of the assignment, elements to focus on, and practice suggestions.

  • Just sit in the same room with them while they practice! Read, do some paperwork...your mere presence is supportive.

  • If you're in another room, shout out to them if you hear something you like, or when you notice improvement.
